About the Mercer County Farm Bureau Foundation
The Foundation was established in 2009 to support the agricultural education efforts in Mercer County. The Mercer County Farm Bureau Foundation is a 501(c)3, so any gifts to our Foundation are tax deductible. The Mercer County Farm Bureau Foundation is committed to assuring agriculture's future by funding quality agricultural programs.
Ag in the Classroom
During the 2021-2022 school year, over 15 volunteers gave monthly classroom presentations to the over 200 second graders in Mercer County. The end of the school year is capped off with the Agriculture, Conservation, and Environment (ACE) Camp in May. Over 150 second graders have the opportunity to rotate through a series of stations to experience agriculture firsthand!
Scholarships
In 2023, the Mercer County Farm Bureau Foundation awarded $16,250 to thriteen very deserving individuals who are pursuing secondary educations.
