Covid-19 update March 20, 2020
Mercer County Farm Bureau (MCFB) and your local Country Financial agents remain committed to serving the needs of our members, however, in response to the current COVID-19 virus situation, the MCFB Board of Directors is implementing the following action plan effective immediately:
The MCFB and adjacent Country Financial office will remain fully staffed, however, to limit exposure risks for our members and employees, our office will be closed to walk-in traffic. Please utilize phone and email to conduct routine business, and utilize the mail slot located beside our main entrance to drop off Country insurance payments or other correspondence for Country agents or MCFB. If you feel like a personal visit is necessary, please call first to set up an appointment. If you are feeling ill, or have been exposed to individuals with flu-like symptoms, please do not enter the building.
All “non-essential” meetings and group activities will be postponed/cancelled. “Primetimer” activities will be suspended until further notice. Ag in the Classroom presentations will be suspended until at least May 1. If you are unsure as to the status of any planned event, please contact our office at (309) 582-5116.
“Essential” meetings will be restricted to no more than 10 on-site participants. We have a conference call system that can be utilized as needed to allow participation from those preferring to not attend in person. We will ask people attending any on-site meeting to wash their hands regularly and practice social distancing as much as possible. Our meeting room will be cleaned and sanitized before and after each use.
As you are well aware, this is a very fluid situation, and we may need to make further adjustments to this plan based on local, state, or federal recommendations.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
Michael Zecher
MCFB President
