A Special Program for Women -- “Deck the Halls with Delicious Food and Beautiful Holiday Arrangements”
The Mercer County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee would like to cordially invite the ladies of Mercer County to their annual “Special Program for Women.” This year’s theme is “Deck the Halls with Delicious Food and Beautiful Holiday Arrangements.”
The program will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Aledo Fire Station located at 211 SE 3rd St. in Aledo. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the program will begin at 9:15 a.m. The cost of the program is $5 for members and $10 for nonmembers. The cost includes a sandwich, soup, pie, and a beverage.
The program will begin with Stephanie Godke, Mississippi River Distilling Company’s Spirited Chef, presenting “Holiday Appetizers and Cocktails.” She will be demonstrating how to make a hot cheese dip, pumpkin spiced ball, and a cranberry apple cocktail. She’s even going to demonstrate how to make a cherry liqueur fudge that makes a great hostess gift.
Next, Jenny Zimmerman, Owner of the Aledo Flower Shop, will give a presentation called “Creating Holiday Arrangements.” She will be demonstrate how to put together a Christmas box, a Christmas wreath, and a fall arrangement.
Lastly, Kyle Lloyd, Owner of the Cookie Coop, will give present “Tips for Decorating Christmas Cookies.” She will be demonstrating tips and tricks for creating beautiful Christmas cookies.
